I'd assumed Vinted wouldn't be much good for me, thinking it was mostly used clothes for women. But it's not. It's all sorts of things, mainly clothes, but many things from brands I like. I've seen quite a few things from [[HebTroCo]] on there. There are camera bags, and other bits of photographic stuff.
It's also quite good for collectables and handmade things. I've bought cute little crochet things, [[Sneak]] merch, and assorted plushies.
Not sure what their credentials are like as a company, but they'd have a hard time being more awful than eBay. And the payment system uses escrow as standard, so when you buy, you pay Vinted, they release the payment to the seller only when you confirm the item has arrived safely and is ok.
## A Fake Kånken
The one problem I've had so far is that I bought a cheap Kånken that turned out to be a fake. It's still a decent enough bag, but it's not made by Fjällräven. Unfortunately, I accepted it before realising.
It's worth being pretty careful with anything that's likely to be counterfeited. If a thing could be reasonably made to look pretty much like the real thing, but at a much lower cost, there might be fakes. A Kånken is fairly easily faked - the real thing is expensive, but it's cheap to make a bag that looks pretty much the same. It won't *feel* quite the same, isn't likely to *last* the same, but by time you find those things out, it might be too late.
